It was a year ago, on Sunday, March 24, BALEATHENS was making its first steps towards shaping the Athens dance music culture, throwing its bridges to connect the city's dancers with the well-loved Ibiza sound. Alfredo has been there for us, and we were there for him when he needed us the most.

After one year, and as the Balearic spirit orders, we stay positive, look forward and keep honouring, not to mention never stop trying our best not only to preserve the legacy's culture, but also to do our part towards its further expansion by introducing it to the younger audience, while those who know, will always be the most wanted to join the ritual.

This is BaleAthens turning one, and what better way to celebrate than by having Jaime Fiorito, Alfredo's son, and the amazing Camilo Mirandam join us for the 1st-year anniversary, which, by the way, happens to mark the 10th anniversary of the "Homies".

Homies was born simultaneously in Ibiza and Barcelona as a monthly love project in 2015 and is now celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

Jaime Fiorito, a second-generation DJ and curator of The Heritage Project, is the son of DJ Alfredo—pioneer of the Balearic Beat—who continues to preserve and reinterpret Ibiza’s musical legacy, bridging past and present through carefully curated experiences that celebrate the island’s spirit and influence along the profound impact of the Balearic movement in shaping global music culture.

In collaboration with Camilo Miranda, a rising star in the Ibiza scene, they present HOMIES, a cultural exploration event that showcases rare archival footage from Ibiza's vibrant 1980s and 1990s era, accompanied by a romantic Balearic soundtrack that evolves into a crescendo.

HOMIES always comes from a starting point of transforming the club or environment that they host into a "house party".

In Ibiza, this party has settled at Pikes, a space the long-standing resident, Camilo, proudly calls his home, while for Jaime, well, this has been his home for real; that is Ibiza, the motherland of Balearic beats, after all. A much-loved and revered venue that, with its history of decadence, its uniqueness and multiple indoor/outdoor rooms and nooks, perfectly adapts to the concept of the party.
