The organization, now known as the SAE Institute or SAE Creative Media Institute, was founded in Sydney in 1976 as the world's first dedicated school of audio engineering. It has since expanded globally to become a leading educator in creative media. 

While the full name is no longer strictly used as the primary brand name, the legacy of "Audio Engineering" is still central to its identity in the music and media education industry. 

With a 26-year-long history in Athens' creative media, scholars, students, graduates, and staff of SAE Athens are celebrating this year at Burger Disco Club, just a stone's throw from SAE's old address on Nikis Street, so they can feel "right at home."

DJ Sets by:

Composer, pianist, music producer, and sound designer Serafeim Tsotsonis is a graduate of SAE Athens with a diploma in audio engineering. He became an honorable member of the teaching staff at SAE Athens, where he is an instructor in electronic music production til lthe present days.

He has composed music for film, theater, documentaries, video art, and advertisements. He has also produced musical works for various artists. Among his latest collaborations are the recent Selofan album "Partners in Hell" (Fabrika Records), the debut album "Rolling Days" by Ocean Hope, Kid Moxie's OST for the film "Not to Be Unpleasant, But We Need to Have a Serious Talk" (Lakeshore Records), etc.

He has released five solo albums with the American label Hush Hush Records – Seattle, as well as with the Greek label Klik Records, along with numerous EPs and remixes. As one of the two members of the dream-pop band Ocean Hope (along with his sister Angeliki), they released their first EP, "Chamber Dreams," on Hush Hush Records, followed by their debut album, "Rolling Days."

His recent works include the music for the Vodafone-cu open advertising campaign, as well as his collaboration with Aegean Airlines on their latest advertising campaign.

It was the period when the satellite television channel MTV had knocked on Greece's door and captivated teenagers with its sound and image! It was also the era when free radio was starting, and one by one, radio stations (with foreign repertoire) were building their image with personalities and music! Theodoros had tapped into the scratching trend and the sound of the moment, which was quite Hip Hop/RNB with the use of scratching, and he had incorporated it into his sets in the best way possible!

Sparky T aka Theodoros Sartzetakis was the child prodigy of the Technics SL1200 MK2, and with his scratching technique, he could "daze" many at the Panhellenic DMC competitions, which he won frequently, representing Greece with distinction in the international DMC competitions of the time, always seeing himself in the top ten DJs abroad.

Sparky T didn't have prior knowledge and only learned for and from scratch. He played the loudest electronic music during the years of the TESSERA club, but above all, he knows tons of music. And perhaps that's the most important thing for someone who wants to be called a DJ!

In his late 40s, he remains one of the most respected figures in the Greek DJing faculty. An active member of Stavento, he became a beloved "teacher" at SAE and one of the most popular in "transferring—conveying" impressions and knowledge in technological software demonstrations for DJs.

SparkyT is always "present" behind the decks, with the same energy as when you first met him in the late 80s.
