ClubKid

ClubKid is thriving in the Athenian underground scene both as a hard-working DJ as well as a promoter. Long-lasting residencies include the famous six dogs, Cantina Social and Crust Basement. Music director of six dogs & ADD Festival, booking manager at Crust basement & founder of two club nights: Danceteria (10 years) and the bi-monthly queer night Slam! (3 years).

His non-stop appearances include gigs in all major dance spots and mobile parties in Athens and the rest of Greece.

In the last five years he is spreading his sound to the rest of the world like New York (The Carry Nation, Good Room, Harder, 3DollarBill), frequently in Berlin (SchwuZ, Polygon Club, Ficken3000) as well as London (Dalston Superstore, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Beefmince, Phonica Records) and Munich were added on the international list.

True to his House origins, his sound combines all aspects of House, Italo, Acid, Techno, Progressive and of course 90's influences are always obvious in his long, energetic sets.

Driving In Reverse

Driving In Reverse aims to explore the dancefloor sonic aesthetic as far left as possible while maintaining the rhythm's tempo, hoping to see people dancing to sounds they might not typically enjoy and surrendering to a Shazam-less haze of dancefloor vibrations. 

Focusing on a core of three well-established DJs, the event hopes to steadily expand its event line-up, extending its record-selecting duties to an eclectic list of guests and rhythm selectors. 

The “horse drivers”:

Hema Wolfe is a Thessaloniki-based DJ known for a cross-genre sound of house, nu disco and indie dance.

Hema is a musician, producer, DJ, and electronic music enthusiast alike. He spends his time in his studio working on his own music when not performing his sets.

Lucas has spent many years playing at most of the major music and club venues in both Athens and Thessaloniki, performing alongside local and national acts and holding multiple residencies, giving him a lot of time to develop his sound.

For him, it's all about setting the mood and playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without realising it, regardless of genre, tempo, style or release date.

His selecting approach is one that skips, hops and ultimately glides across a multitude of influences, finding connective elements in sound in a constantly evolving approach that is always close to the stylus.

Pene/Thanasis Besinis 

Whenever you hear a slow-chugging groove emanating from an Athenian venue, it will usually mean that Pene is handling the selections. Owner and DJ of rapidly popular spot Radar, Pene continues to set the tone for a variety of decks throughout Athens and beyond , while also running his clothing label Reigning. 

The Man From On High/Gerard Papasimakopoulos

A multi-tasker by trade and a track selector by night, Gerard is usually the person that will drop a track that has no business being there , but somehow makes sense. A frontman for the now-defunct darkwave duo Rattler Proxy and also the Berlin-based Modern Ruin, his passion for lates 70s – early 80s NYC colors most of his sets.

The curator of Burger Disco Club's music journey counts decades of digging across a plethora of dance genres, with his mixes transforming them into a solid-quantic body of music, coming in hot with brand new breaks and interstellar boogie vibes.
